About Up-Down Converters

? Up-down converters are devices that convert the frequency of a signal from a higher frequency to a lower frequency and vice versa. They are most commonly used in radio and TV transmitters to convert signals to a frequency that is suitable for broadcasting. Up converters shift a signal up in frequency, while down converters shift a signal down in frequency. Up-down converters also have a variety of other applications, such as converting a signal into one that a receiver is able to receive. Up-down converters are also used in military, cellular, and satellite communications systems.
